You can be assured that your Massage Therapist is registered with Allied Health Professions Council of South Africa (AHPCSA). She has completed a 3 year Diploma focussing in all components of Somatology (study of the body) and all modalities relating to Therapeutic Massage. She is able to adapt treatments to the individual’s needs and circumstances to facilitate the best healing strategy possible. Continuing Professional Development is imperative and the practice enables clients to claim reimbursement for their treatments from their Medical Aid (Ts and Cs apply). She can legally work with and refer to other health professionals.

Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic / Relaxation / Remedial Massage

1 Hour: This therapeutic massage treatment is designed to reduce muscular tension, stiffness, and soft tissue tightness using evidence-informed massage techniques. The session focuses on improving circulation, relieving minor musculoskeletal discomfort, and supporting muscle recovery and mobility.

Benefits may include improved range of motion, reduced muscle tightness, improved tissue flexibility, and enhanced physical comfort, leaving you feeling physically restored and more functional.

Sports Massage / Deep Tissue Massage

1 Hour: For sports purposes, a 1 hour sports massage is recommended to focus on 2 problem areas (such as legs) for the best results. A hard pressure is generally used whilst incorporating specific techniques to ease and treat muscles, assisting in breaking down and treating nodules, knots and adhesions.

Optional: All treatments include soft silicone cupping which promotes waste and excess lactic acid drainage from the tissues and the muscles (optional) on specific areas for soft, supple, reduced pain, nourished muscles and skin and lymphatic drainage effect. The reflexology stick may be used to ease nodules. Medical Aid reimbursement possible after treatment by certain Medical Aids. Client feedback given during the treatment.

Areas for massage: head, neck, back, shoulders, arms and hands, abdomen (ladies) and gluts, legs and feet.

Facial Lymphatic Drainage Massage

1 Hour: This specialised Facial Lymphatic Drainage Massage focuses on the face, neck, décolleté, arms, and hands, using gentle lymphatic drainage techniques with cupping and cold glass therapy. The treatment is designed to support lymphatic flow, reduce fluid retention, and assist with soft tissue function.

Benefits may include: improved lymphatic and circulatory support, reduced facial puffiness, decreased tension in the jaw, neck, and facial muscles, and overall relaxation. This treatment may also assist in supporting sinus congestion relief and promoting improved tissue comfort and mobility.

Body Lymphatic Drainage Massage with Silicone Cupping

1 Hour: This treatment uses soft silicone cupping combined with specialised massage techniques to support circulation and lymphatic flow, assisting the body in reducing fluid retention and improving soft tissue mobility. A suitable massage medium is applied to allow smooth cupping movement over the skin while targeting areas of muscular tension and swelling.

Benefits may include: improved local circulation, support for lymphatic drainage, reduced swelling in the hands and feet, decreased heaviness in the limbs, and improved tissue flexibility. This treatment may also be beneficial for clients experiencing fluid retention associated with hormonal changes.

Areas of treatment: anterior and posterior legs and feet, anterior and posterior arms, back, neck, shoulders, and abdomen (where appropriate).

This is a calming, supportive therapeutic treatment designed to improve comfort and overall body function.

Pressure Point Reflexology Foot Massage

1 Hour: Pressure point techniques as well as traditional massage techniques are used on the feet to balance the body, assist in reducing symptoms and balancing emotions. This treatment assists in relaxation, releasing stress and leaving you feeling revitalised and energised.

The following medical aids may reimburse for Therapeutic Massage and Therapeutic Reflexology treatments: Discovery (including LA Health, Remedi, Tsogo Sun, UKZN and BankMed – all require plans with Savings), Medscheme (plans with Savings) and Genesis (plans with Savings). This practice will not be held liable should the client not receive reimbursement from their Medical Aid.
